Established in the 1970’s, Ken Beard & Son Ltd has been a trusted name in the building and construction industry for almost 50 years. Our journey began with a passion for woodwork and joinery and since then, we have upheld a commitment to excellence in every project we undertake.

Established by Ken Beard, our firm commenced as a modest, family-owned enterprise founded in Birkenhead, Wirral. Throughout our journey, our unwavering commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction has propelled us to the forefront of the construction industry locally and regionally. 

Throughout our history, we have completed a diverse range of projects whilst operating as a general building company, including contract work with the Diocese of Shrewsbury, Merseyside Police, Wirral Council, West Cheshire Council, Francis House Children's Hospice, Liverpool and Chester University, Tam O’Shanters Urban Farm plus many more businesses, private individuals and thousands of home owners. Each project showcases our commitment to delivering exceptional results that exceed our clients' expectations.

Following Ken's sad passing in 2021, his legacy endures through the stewardship of his son, Mal, who now helms the business, working alongside his brother Andy. With the business manager Sarah, they are dedicated to elevating the company to new pinnacles, all while maintaining Ken's ethos of upholding superior standards of craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and unparalleled customer service.
