Company Owner & Bathroom Remodel Project Manager
Mal Beard
As the Business Owner and project manager overseeing our bathroom remodels, Mal has seamlessly assumed the leadership reins from his father, Ken, who founded the business over four decades ago. With a personal career spanning over 30 years in the industry, Mal brings an abundance of knowledge and expertise to each bathroom project we undertake.
Mal is a seasoned tradesman with extensive experience and formal qualifications. His background includes teaching roles within formal education settings across the Merseyside region, where he imparted his invaluable skills in plastering, brickwork, tiling, and plumbing to the next generation of construction professionals. Holding qualifications to practice and teach across multiple trades, Mal is renowned for his dedication to excellence and skill development.
Recently, Mal has furthered his expertise by undergoing training in Venetian plastering techniques and 3D plasma marbling, adding innovative techniques to his already impressive repertoire.
Business Manager
Sarah BSc (Hons) GMBPsS MABP
Sarah has studied Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and graduated with a 2:1 in Psychology from Liverpool John Moores University. She serves as a cornerstone in propelling the company's success and expansion.
In her capacity as Business Manager, Sarah oversees strategic planning, financial management, digital marketing, and ensures streamlined operations. She has completed the Kitchen & Bathroom Planning & Design course with the University of Arts London (UAL) and spearheads the design and planning aspects of our projects.
Sarah's professional affiliations include membership in the Association for Business Psychology and graduate membership in the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS), underscoring her commitment to advancing her field and contributing to the company's continued growth.

Andy Beard
Andy is a highly qualified and exceptionally skilled joiner with decades of experience in the construction industry. His journey includes significant roles with Ken Beard & Son Ltd, alongside running his own successful independent joinery business. Moreover, Andy has contributed his expertise to well-known national kitchen installation companies.
In his capacity as project manager for all our kitchen installs, Andy brings a rich wealth of knowledge and experience to every project. His meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality ensure that each kitchen remodel is executed to perfection. Andy's extensive experience and proficiency make him an indispensable asset to our team.
Assistant Installer
Lewis
Lewis plays a pivotal role as an installation assistant, lending his expertise to our kitchen and bathroom projects. Despite his recent arrival to the team, he has swiftly become an integral and esteemed member. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to quality, Lewis upholds the esteemed standards of workmanship and service that our company is renowned for.
Lewis’s adeptness and enthusiasm make him a valued asset to our team, ensuring that our clients receive nothing short of exceptional results.
The Apprentice
Kyle
Ken Beard and Son Ltd has a rich history of nurturing apprentices, spanning many years. In fact, we often subcontract former apprentices of Ken who have gone on to achieve remarkable success with their own ventures.
Kyle joined our team last year and has swiftly proven himself as an invaluable asset. He is making excellent progress with his on-site learning and has seamlessly integrated into our team dynamics. Currently, Kyle is enrolled at Wirral Met College, diligently working towards attaining a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).
Additionally, he recently completed courses in Venetian Plastering and 3D Plasma Marble with Italian Stucco, alongside Mal.

Andy McMurrie
Andy assumes the critical role of our Gas Safe Registered engineer, overseeing all gas-related operations throughout our projects. With his independent heating and plumbing business, he provides a wide array of services, including boiler replacements, repairs, and comprehensive central heating system installations. Rob Dawson and team (DASK Electrical)
Rob, our dedicated electrician from DASK Electrical, handles all electrical aspects across every project. Collaborating closely with our designers, we craft bespoke lighting solutions to enhance the final touches of your project.
After studying lighting on the Bathroom and kitchen course at UAL, Sarah and the DASK team excel in designing diverse lighting themes to elevate your project with style.
Like all members of our team, Rob is seasoned, skilled, and committed to upholding impeccable standards of workmanship.
