For 50 years, Ken Beard & Son Ltd has been helping homeowners transform their homes through exceptional workmanship, honest advice and outstanding customer service.

Established in 1976, we are a family-run business specialising in the design, supply and installation of premium bathrooms, kitchens and accessible home adaptations across Wirral, Liverpool, Chester, Cheshire and North Wales.

While our services have evolved over five decades, our values have remained the same. We believe in doing things properly, treating customers with respect and delivering work that we are proud to put our name to.

Our Story

Ken Beard & Son Ltd was founded by Ken Beard in 1976 and quickly established a reputation for delivering quality building work throughout the region.

For many years, we successfully completed a wide variety of projects, including extensions, structural alterations, renovations and major home improvements. Throughout this time, kitchens and bathrooms were always an important part of our work, and we became well known for creating beautifully finished spaces as part of larger renovation projects.

As a reflection of our commitment to quality across the wider construction industry, we were proud members of the Federation of Master Builders for many years.

As customer demand evolved, so did our business.

Rather than continuing as a general building contractor, we made the strategic decision to focus exclusively on kitchens, bathrooms and accessible home adaptations. By specialising, we have been able to invest in dedicated product knowledge, specialist installation techniques, professional development, a purpose-built showroom and industry-leading accreditations specific to our sector.

Our customers still benefit from the same broad construction knowledge developed over five decades, but with the added reassurance that every member of our team now focuses exclusively on creating exceptional fitted interiors.
